DERBY – The time is drawing near on the foreclosure of Indoor Recreation of Orleans County (IROC), but voters in towns across the Northeast Kingdom will have a chance on Tuesday to help the nonprofit organization.
Over the last seven years, thousands of local residents have used the facility, while youth age 18 and under have enjoyed full membership benefits for the past few years.
This marks the first time the facility has asked for help of this magnitude from the towns it serves. IROC is facing a foreclosure on April 1 as it has been unable to make its $7,000 plus monthly mortgage payment.
