NEWPORT – They're here! CEO's from the South Korean AnCBio VT project and the German window manufacturer were in Newport last week and joined Jay Peak's Bill Stenger and Ariel Quiros yesterday for a press conference.
All proposed development projects in the Northeast Kingdom Economic Development Initiative (NEKI) are moving forward, and visible proof is coming this summer. That was the message from the masterminds behind the project, Stenger and Quiros.
Stenger and associates gathered at the site where two projects are proposed: the biotechnology facility called AnCBio Vermont, and Menck Windows USA. The location formerly housed the Bogner plant and more recently a branch Northeast Kingdom Human Services.
“What’s this all about?” Stenger asked, and then answered, “It’s about jobs, economic development and job diversity.”
