BARTON- The search for a new Orleans Central Supervisory Union superintendent is in the formative stage, with a search committee being formed and a goal of starting to advertise for the position to begin by December 1. Lake Region Union High School board chairman Dave Blodgett advised board members that there has been discussion over salary range, the hiring process, and who would be appointed to the search committee.
“We’ve set a salary range of $95,000 to $105,000.” said Blodgett. “The question is whether it’s enough or not.”
A screening committee will be comprised of twelve members with two selected from the central office, two teachers (elementary and high school), two school board members, two administrators, and two members from the community.
The committee will work with consultant Bob Stevens to interview candidates, though final approval will be made by the OCSU executive board.
