NEWPORT–When UCA announced that they would not be fielding a basketball program for the 2013-2014 season, it left multiple players without a venue to display their love of the game.
One athlete in particular was hit especially hard by the news; UCA senior Paul Saaman.
The high-flier, whose ariel assaults at the opposition's baskets have been known to leave jaws on the floor, had just endured a rough a soccer season where the team struggled to find a win, and now he was being grounded before he could take off for his final season on the hardwood.
Paul sat down and chatted with me about what this meant, what he plans to do in the future, and just his overall take on the situation.
To find out what he had to say, see the Express on Tuesday, 12-3-13.
