Randy White and Eric Trucott, from the Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway Inc., removed the debris from the railroad bridge on the Causeway Tuesday. Recent flooding caused the debris to get caught underneath the bridge.

Newport City Fire Department's newest truck arrived in town on Wednesday. The truck was made by Smeal Fire Apparatus and purchased from New England Fire Equipment and Apparatus out of New Haven, Conn. The truck is numbered Engine 2 and will be a first line truck.
