Derby Developer Awarded Permit to Build, Again

DERBY – A local business is making sure permits are in hand for big development if the other area expansion plans take shape. Bill Stenger and his partners are working on a plan for massive development in the area that includes a hotel and conference center, a biotechnology facility, and manufacturing at the airport. Walmart has also announced its plan to build in Derby. Once these projects come to fruition the demand for housing will increase. Gosselin Enterprises is getting ready to wait.Back in 2007 Gosselin Enterprise attained permits to build a large development on Route 5 in Derby. After the hard-hitting economic downturn occurred the plans were put on hold. Some of the permits expired and the Gosselins have reapplied for those permits.
