Local Programs Help Prevent Childhood Hunger In Summer Months

Summertime brings a lot of things for children, but one thing it shouldn’t bring is hunger. The summertime meal programs held throughout the Northeast Kingdom is designed to help meet those summer needs. According to a Hunger Free Vermont over 42 percent of Vermont students were enrolled in free or reduced-price meals during the 2015-2016 school year.
