Moose Population Continues To Decline

Vermont Fish and Wildlife biologists confirm the moose population has fallen below target levels, dropping from a high of 5000 to under 1000 in less than 12 years. A public hearing at Lake Region UHS last Thursday was well attended as department officials gathered information to formulate a new ten year management plan. Read more in the Newport Daily Express.
